You are in Chile

A Dream Destination: Chile

Chile is the longest and most narrow stretch of land in the southern hemisphere, where the magic of nature blends with the rustic local cultures.

Chile has no geographic equal in all the world - it is home to majestic mountains, an extensive coastline, sublime lakes and lagoons, an arid desert that occasionally concedes a burgeon of color, numerous active volcanoes, noble glaciers, and exotic islands decorated with an exuberance of flora and fauna. A full 19% of the national terrain, or 35 million acres, is protected by the federal government and is classified as a National Park, Natural Reserve, or Natural Monument.

Of course, we can not fail to mention the fertile valleys that house Chile's vineyards. Here, you encounter superb wine to accompany any meal whether it be one of indigenous cuisine or international delicacy served in the superb local restaurants.

Chile boasts cultural assets such as the famous poets and winners of the Nobel Peace Prize in Literature, Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda, author Isabel Allende, artist Claudio Bravo, and Chilean folk singer Violeta Parra. A blend of old and new, Chile has antique cultures that still keep their traditions alive. One of the most resilient is the Mapuche Nation which is the only South American indigenous group to have successfully defended their territory against the Inca and Spanish conquests.

Without a doubt, Chile's history is certainly dynamic. The outcome is a high level of democracy and prosperity that marks the country as a destination that offers its visitors great security. Chile has developed excellent international business relationships, and has become the South American forerunner of technology, not to mention one of the most stable economies in the continent.
